While waiting nearly 2 months to hear from the bank on the short sale house in Little Valley, we found this one - which we fell in love with. We were outbid the day before Thanksgiving, which absolutely broke our hearts... But learned December 4th that the buyers changed their minds! We submitted our offer again the next day - and the bank accepted! If all goes well we close January 5!!!

It's in a FABULOUS neighborhood in Washington, Utah. For those who don't know, Washington is the neighbor of St. George; just 90 minutes north of Las Vegas.

The upstairs bonus room and office are awesome. The main back yard has an unfinished pool that we'll likely demolish. We really, really LOVE THIS HOUSE! So send good thoughts!

We Made An Offer on This One - Keep your fingers crossed!

We just put on offer on this house! It's a short sale as opposed the the bank-owned Fannie Mae house we first tried to get (see earlier blog entry).

The Deal That Fell Through...

We put an offer on this house - and thought we had a deal. We even went to St. George and had an inspection. Then Fannie Mae, the evil Giant, demanded an addendum that basically took the entire negotiation and threw it out the window and insisted on ridiculously one-sided terms we just couldn't accept. We sent a proposed amendment, but they wouldn't budge - so that's the end of that. Good thing too... because as we were waiting to hear from Fannie Mae, Brian scoured the MLS and found something much, much nicer that we think we can get for the same price, or thereabouts...

It's about 2,914 sq ft, three car garage, and two huge side yards (one for a shed/garage we'll ultimately build, and one to park our 45' RV).
